| My daughter (age 3) asked for a table beside her bed to put her books and juice on, while in bed. Well we can not disappoint baby girl. Her only request is ....make it pink. While normally I am against painting real wood. For this one we made and exception. | |||||||||
For starters we did a little sketch to get some ideas.
Cut down the legs to make them square.
Cut the legs to leangth on the Miter saw.
Need to find center for a dowl. I know a tenon would be better, but time is of an essence and I had a bag a dowls laying around.
I need more Clamps. Always!!

I used 1x2's glued up to make the legs. The wood is pine to keep costs down esp since we are going to paint it.
Bought this new blade after reading and artical in Woodworkers Journel. Very nice blade for the money. Cut smooth as a baby's butt.
I pulled out the calipers to measure for the botom rungs. Made the square, on the table saw.
I did not take any pictures drilling the dowls and bicuting the table upper rails (sorry I just got to involved. Here is the Glueup
The top is a peice of leftover 3/4 red oak plywood. Trimed in 1x2 pine. THe corners are mitered and its all Biscuted together.
Here Is the Finished Product. Baby Girl is quite pleased.
